New Web design to launch

The Offices of Communications and Marketing, Graphics and Information Technology Services are excited to announce the launch of a refreshed Web site design for www.hvcc.edu on Tuesday, June 18. While the main navigation of the site will remain primarily the same, the new, streamlined design comes with enhancements, such as an improved search engine that will replace the “Quick Find” and the ability to highlight more news, events, programs, enrollment initiatives, etc. on the main page.

We also are actively working on other major Web projects, including:

• Creation of an employee Intranet (for internal or protected content) in a Content Management System
• Moving the public content of the main Web site into a Content Management System
• New tools to handle Web forms and databases
• Enhanced Web Calendar

We will be setting up appointments with specific offices, as appropriate, to discuss the new initiatives.

While we understand the importance of keeping information up-to-date on the site, we ask that department’s consult with Sandi Eyerman before planning any major new pages or a large re-organization of your department’s content.
